[Weather] 1-Wire Software for a Mac

Michael,

Since the Mac comes with Java and the SDK already installed, it easy  
to use the 1-Wire Library provided from Dallas/Maxim. You'll either  
need a USB to serial adapter (like the Keyspan USA-19x) and a DS9097U  
1-Wire Serial Port Adapter (easiest) -or-  a 1-Wire USB adapter,  
which support is just starting to emerge (a little harder).

I do all my 1-Wire and TINI development on a Mac. If you need step-by- 
step instructions on setting up the Java environment, it's in Chapter  
4 of the Weather Toys book.  In fact, I used my Mac for most of the  
book code and projects.
