Hi Chris:

   I have the same problem with the Honeywell sensor on homemade 
boards.  I've never had the PC boards go bad, after covering them with a 
conformal coating, but the sensor itself always dies after about a 
year.  I even tried periodically blowing it out with canned air, with no 
noticable improvement.

   I've just resigned myself to it being a $25 yearly maintenance item.  ;-)
