Congratulations to them, but I worry a bit what's going to happen to
their products and support.

I have both the original SliMP3 and the newer Squeezebox.

I use lynx to push data, like:

lynx -dump http://slimp:9000/status.txt?p0=display\&p1=$(...) etc

Not very advanced.  I guess I could do much more if I wrote a plugin
for SlimServer.  With the Squeezebox perhaps it would even be possible
to plot graphs.
