Just for information, oww-0.81.7 works with USB under kernel 2.6.21.1  I
have not tried 0.81.9.

Simon, any chance of having an configure parameter --disable-gui which
does not check or try to compile in all the x and gtk libraries please?  I
run it on several production and development servers in a very large UK
datacentre, none of which have either x or gtk installed.
