I haven't been able to follow the list for a while, so please forgive
me if this already have been discussed: Has anyone done any work on
making OWFS feed data to Oww? That would be very neat.
I'm not sure what the best approach would be. In order to avoid
having to dig deep into the low level stuff of Oww and write
replacement functions, my guess for the best way to go is to write a
new application which talks to owserver while acting as an Oww server
on another port.
It could be quite handy for the 1-wire stuff I'm working on now. The
main water valve in my house is controlled and monitored by a 1-wire
switch (TAI8555), and I also monitor the water pressure with a DS2438.
While Oww probably is the best software to log the water pressure (and
temperatures and whatever else I might hook up in that room), I
probably want to use OWFS to control the switch by writing my own
application.
